We woke up with excitement and thanksgiving, thank you for your tremendous support over the past two years.
While still in a celebrating mood, we were grossly reminded why we started this journey in the first place.
Today marking the Sick Pikin project 2nd year also seems to have brought tears to our eyes as we regret to announce the death of one of our own (Jeremiah Koroma).
Jeremiah was just 3 years old when we came in contact with him, while the colostomy procedure needed was done successfully, Jerry never fully recovered and hence lost his life today.
Children like Jerry should not suffer because of our failing health system, they should not be left hopeless of the future.
We cannot save everyone (we know this), but we dearly hope that we could.
However, we can save as many as possible and this we can do only with your continued support.
Jerry is no more as we draft this release but his death is a reminder to all of us, a brutal reminder of why we do what we do, a reminder to keep fighting and to keep praying that your support never seizes.
Rest in Peace Master Koroma, we promise to keep fighting for you..
