Baby Isha completed her 3 surgeries successfully.
You will recall baby Isha travelled together with baby Salim who is fine now and has been discharged today. See photo below.
Baby Isha has 3 complications, Transposition of the Great Arteries, Ventricular Septal Defect and Failure to Thrive.
Her surgeries lasted for about 16 hours and ended successfully for which we thank God, the Max Hospital team, Government of Sierra Leone and our numerous and kind-hearted volunteers and donors. It was done 3 days ago and Isha is still in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit where she is recovering gradually with the support of a ventilator to aid her breathing as it was later detected that she had a lungs infection which is being treated now.
